I generated a first cut of a PDF version of acs-core-docs. You can get it here if you want. It's 1.6mb and 414 pages (and still in pretty rough form). I generated it with FOP and it has page numbers an a table of contents but no index yet.

Jeff, many lines are truncated,
especially <screen> tagged ones.

yeah, it's something that needs some attention (it's a problem if you print the html versions as well).

I fixed a few places that were using literallayout and screen but there are a lot more...

That looks great. When 5.0 is out we could even spend a bit of time making it real nice and sell hard copies not dissimilar to the FreeBSD book.

Monies could go to upkeep of the site (or beer at socials ;)

I waded definitive xsl-fo manual but I suspect my brain may
explode before I succeed in making things look nice.

I generated an updated version of the acs-core documentation in PDF format which can be downloaded here.
