Ecommerce G2

Maintainers and contributors for each package are noted in the package documentation and cvs history.

Introduction

This is an initiative to upgrade and round-out ecommerce and related packages to benefit from current OpenACS programming standards and practices. Project is currently led by Dekka and directed via the plan at http://dekka.com/p2/xowiki/ecommerce-g2 in the open and cooperative spirit of the OpenACS community and its development resources, including CVS etc.

• categories Adequate for use with ecommerce etc? The current ecommerce package has its own limited categories functionality. Categories package has datamodel for category trees with supporting API and management pages. Needs to provide a widget for general categorization of arbitrary objects and tracks which package instances use which category trees. Also supports localization.
• contacts need to add a user modifiable reference (something other than the internal party object_id) so contacts can be more easily referenced with other packages.
