I committed a change we worked together with Quest to clean up the acs-content-repository from it's reliance on Java. It works with Oracle 9i and higher and should not affect any upgrades, just new installs (we are not deleting the java functions).
I ran the functions in an upgrade without problems, all regression tests were passed. I would now need some help in testing this a little bit more if possible.
