Forum OpenACS Q&A: Ecommerce docs clarification, Receives emails into customer service?

The ecommerce feature list describes:

"Receive and respond to customer inquiries via email"

in the feature section, but "Receive" is not implicitly mentioned in the Customer Service section. Is this feature implemented?  If so, could someone point to where I can try to diagnose it, as it's not working on a test site.

incoming e-mails are not automatically processed by the ecommerce package if that is what you are thinking. The best you can do record customer inquiries in the Customer Service section.

Aha! That explains why emails are not becoming service issues a la a ticket-tracker. Wishful thinking on my part.
