Looking over the documentation for the Openacs-5-rc1 I notice instructions for installing both Aolserver 3.3 and 4.

Which is the preferred server or is it up to personal preference?

Check out this thread. If you feel comfortable grabbing it from CVS using the 4.0.1 tag then I recommend using that version.

If the AOLserver folk don't get around to building a tarball for this release soon maybe we should put one up on our site here until they do???

Thanks Don,

Used AOLserver 4r2 on a development laptop last night and all went well. I've got a few issues to work out with my test installation of the latest rc1 installation and then I'll post my experience later in the week.
