Forum OpenACS Q&A: Any virtual hosting service available to run OpenACS?

Hi folks,

I wish to run OpenACS on my website but I do not have the budget to
operate my own dedicated server. All of my local virtual hosting
service providers run their servers on Apache or NT, so I'm wondering
if you know of any that runs on AOL server.

Thanks

I don't think they're offering it yet, but fufly is planning to. Check their website for details (this should be an FAQ, I think).
Yes, and we're getting closer... working on the contract with our lawyer, and getting the system ready to go.  Should be a week, two at the most, given how slowly the process has gone so far!
Great Janine, we are waiting for that, I hope you will to post the info about the hosting in this bboard as soon as you get it (or at least a link to your page)...  :)
I suspect there will be others in the near future as well.

Any status?
Any one offering site hosting using or allowing OpenACS yet?
Thanks,

Hawke, I believe that Furfly in some way transferred the hosting side to Musea (www.museatech.net).  That is my guess as to why openacs.furfly.net is no longer reachable.

There are a few folks who offer OpenACS hosting, including my company, ZillNet (http://www.zill.net/), with monthly prices (currently) at shared server @ $79.95 and your own server @ $175, per month.

hub.org (by Marc Fournier, of PostgreSQL fame) has AOLserver and OpenACS at very good prices.

I think museatech.net was going to offer OpenACS hosting too. Talli?
