is there a 1/2 pages instructions on how to upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0. have been using dotLRN 1.0 for the past 6 months, and familiar with it. but has not been able to upgrade. I am using dotLRN with postgres 7.3.2 on FreeBSd.

problem with dotLRN. cannot get the login page. the aolservr seems to be running.

run the usual
bin/nsd -t servers/dotlrn/etc/config.tcl -u nsadmin -f

it seem that dotLRN 2.0.2 and dotLRN 1.0 have different data model. creating a new database seem to solve the problem. what happen to the old data? is there a migration path, or I simply do it wrong.

system: FreeBSD, aolserver 4.0.1, dotLRN 2.0.2 , postgresql 7.3.2

steps;

creatdb dotlrn2
bin/nsd -t servers/dotlrn2/etc/config.tcl -u nsadmin -f

The migration path for .LRN 1 to .LRN 2 is the same as the migration path from OpenACS 4.6.3 to OpenACS 5:

patience do have its virtue. should have look _more_ closely rather than blindly try to upgrade. thanks. what went wrong probably because I think I can just 'tar xvfz' dotLRN-2.0 on top of dotLRN-1.0, and the system will update itself. my fault.
