Does ACS have a module for event registrations still? I remember that there was an old registration program that I think was separate from ACS, but I'm not sure if it ever got rolled into a module. I did some searching at ArsDigita for the old code, but could not come up with anything.

The reason that I'm asking, is that I was asked to look at http://www.cvent.com/ today and give an opinion. I'm not sure how much they cost (I should know in a few days), but it reminded me of the boot camp registration program taken to commercial fruition.

Anyone interested in something like this in ACS?

OpenAcs has an events module see openacs.org/doc/events to see if this module will suit your needs.

If ACES (the arsDigita Community Education Solution) does get ported to OpenACS 4.x[1], then some time/effort/money will almost definitely go into beefing up registration and making it work with ecommerce.

At ArsDigita, you can still find the events module code by downloading ACS 3.4. For example, go to http://www.arsdigita.com/acs-repository/one-version?version_id=1247
