I have started to convert over my personal site to OpenACS 4. I know
its early, but it needed too much work to maintain on OpenACS 3.
Search is working and you can search the #openacs IRC channel weblog.

The design uses all CSS so it might break some browsers. Sorry, it is
a work in progress. Mostly right now it is using the Edit-this-page
package. I will be adding more packages as I need them.

what in particular was chewing up time in 3.x?

I am not sure what you are asking. My version of the 3.2.5 code was modified quite a bit, the stuff I hacked into it was not well written, and there were bugs in the datamodel from when I dumped and restored the database.

I see... from "it needed too much work to maintain on OpenACS 3" I thought you were talking about admin tasks and such, but you really meant development.
