Enabling threads is very important. It is not uncommon for systems to have 2 or more versions of tcl installed. Be sure to specify the threaded version when building aolserver. I don't use fedora, but usually typing 'which tclsh' at the command line will let you know which versions are available in the system, and where they are located.
