Hi, I just want to know is it exist any Cloud Hosting that offers the service of OpenACS/dotLRN in the cloud.

I think it will be difficult to have a "cloud" version of OpenACS.

My company (Zill.net) is converting most users to VMs which can be shrunk/grown in terms of resources on the fly.

However, the basic architecture of OpenACS does not lend itself well to cloud, in terms of adding more instances on an as-needed basis, then turning them off.

I think that because the new tendencies are the cloud, so the problem will be to get someone who gives a good hosting service.
In the other hand to have the service of OpenACS/dotLRN in the cloud will let the Universities, that doesn't have prepared servers, to give this kind of service, making the cloud the form of access to the platform.

OpenACS really requires a dedicated server OR VPS. There are many many VPS services which will easily allow setup of OpenACS on Debian or Ubuntu from packages.

I have done this a few times and it works fine.
