Forum .LRN Q&A: invalid command name "Class"

Hi all,

I have installed dotLRN from the package provided in the EU4ALL web site (eu4all.adenu.ia.uned.es/downloads/dotlrn.tar.gz), but the first request fails with this message:

invalid command name "rp_filter"

When I check the log I discover the following previous errors:

...
invalid command name "Class"
...
invalid command name "Object"
...
invalid command name "my"
...
invalid command name "::xotcl::THREAD"
...
invalid command name "::xo::library"
...

I have installed all the required packages from repositories using "apt-get" so I think this problems shouldn't come from them.

Any idea what could be my mistake?

Thanks in advance.

Javi.

Javi,

I don't have experience with dotLRN. Maybe this is an xotcl installation error. See: https://openacs.org/forums/message-view?message_id=436606

cheers,

Ben

Thank you very much Ben,

Because I installed xotcl automatically, I supposed the installation should be complete, but it wasn't.

The package "aolserver4-xotcl" wasn't installed so the problem has been solved only by installing it.

Thanks again. Your advice has been right.

Javi.
