I just went there, and seems that all previous files were deleted!

Any ideas???

Yeah, I wanted to get a copy of the .LRN logo (in XXL) and was surprised that everything was gone. Noticed about 2 days ago.

Sabotage? Do we have backups of openacs.org that we could pull these files from?

Can someone please take a look at this or ping Mike about backups.

I was just trying to find a paper that Roc and Andrew wrote for the Tcl/Tk conference on OpenACS and the link I found pointed to file storage on openacs.org.

Gone (like hundreds of other interesting files).

Can someone send me a copy of that in the meantime.

On May 19th, a new user deleted the files, apparently not realizing that this is shared storage space, because the person soon thereafter stored some of their local files there. The incident was reported to Mike and oct.

The rumor from a week ago is that there have been other legit admin priorities more immediate than recovering these, but that recovery is on the way.

Why the heck would a new user be allowed to delete files? I hope that the File Storage package both allows and defaults to better permissioning than that.
