That's the most wrong-headed nonsense about Open Source projects that I've ever read Michael Feldstein.  You're so completely off the mark it's difficult to know where to begin, or if it's worth the bother.

I don't know about you Michael, but when I hire contractors to do work that I cannot or will not do myself, they do what I tell them!  Or, I fire them and hire new ones.  I'll be damned if I'll let plumbers rule my life!

It takes nothing more than a willingness to take part to effectively join an Open Source community.  And for those who would like ultimate control of their own destiny, the price is about $100 an hour.

What you are demanding is the right to control a process without paying for it.  And if you don't get it you'll take your high powered freinds and leave us poor befuddled developers to the gutter.

Actually, you're pretty funny 😉
