Thanks for the links. As far as SCORM goes, it does uses LOM from IEEE.

Here is the first draft of our datamodel for the LOM metadata.

SCORM adopts this metadata for most of its entities: courses (content aggregations), learning objects (SCO/As), single files or cluster of files (Assets). Although it is pretty full on, it is going to be important for, later on, search and reuse learning object or courses.
