And running AOLserver as unix user "nsadmin", the same user that owned the AOLserver binaries, wasn't exactly ideal either. But it's easy and simple, and of course much better than running as root. (But really, I've never heard of anybody leaving AOLserver running as root. The -u switch is so easy, everyone uses it.)

Well, actually nsd won't run as root...
