Rafael Calvo
announced the release of dotTeach 1.0. The package has 3 purposes:
- Helping students find information about courses/degrees and visualize their relationship
- Automating teaching administration tasks
- Produce a knowledge repository of teaching strategies, this is done with integration with dotLRN.
Tracy Adams tagged the .LRN 2.1.a2 release in CVS. This version has openacs-5-1-2b as the openacs core and then the tip of oacs-5-1 branch. We'll continue to use the openacs-5-1-2b core for future releases unless there is a new core version.
David Ortega announced the start of development for a new user tracking package. The purpose behind this development is to ensure we track and retrieve knowledge about how end users are making use of the system. The main objective of this package will be to track user behaviour and activities, so that Professors and administrators can use this to understand how the system is used and make improvements in the learning process.
