Notes : If you change the conent it does not version and keep an old copy. For a client who is using them heavily I recommended they make a new one for each week rather then editing the old one. Then they could remove the old one from the portal and put up the new one.

CAUTION: When you create a new custom portlet it is automatically put on the first page left column of your home portal page. You need to go into customize portal pages and remove it till you are ready for it.
